BBS welcomes applications from domestic students seeking to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate study in Australia.
Admission requirements vary depending on the course, prior qualifications, English language proficiency, and applicant background. BBS considers a range of recognised academic pathways, including secondary education, vocational education and training (VET), and prior higher education study.
Domestic applicants should review the admission requirements relevant to their intended course before submitting an application.
To be considered for admission to a course at BBS, international applicants must:
Meeting these minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Entry into any course is based on a holistic assessment of an applicant’s academic background, English language proficiency, and (where relevant) work experience or prior study.
All domestic applicants must:
Applicants with recent secondary education (within the last two years)
BBS will consider domestic applicants who hold a formal qualification considered equivalent to an Australian Year 12 qualification with an ATAR rank of 60 equivalent.
Applicants with higher education study
BBS will consider domestic applicants who have successfully completed at least one year of a higher education course at an Australian higher education provider (at Australian Qualification Framework level 7) within the last 10 years. Credit may be granted where applicants have completed unit(s) at a similar level at an Australian higher education provider.
BBS will consider domestic applicants who have successfully completed any Vocational Education and Training (VET) course within the last five years since leaving school may be eligible for admission. The VET course must be at least Certificate IV level or higher from an Australian Registered Training Organisation (or equivalent) or a higher education provider.
Applicants with work and life experience
BBS does not consider applications for admission based on work and life experience or informal study where formal higher education qualifications are not present. Entry is available only through the qualification pathways set out above.

Applicants who do not hold a Bachelor’s degree (AQF Level 7) or a recognised equivalent qualification can still be admitted if they have a Diploma (AQF 5) or equivalent, along with evidence of a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience at a managerial level. For the avoidance of doubt, applicants with qualifications below AQF Level 5 will not be admitted.
