BBS welcomes applications from international students seeking to undertake undergraduate and postgraduate study in Australia.
As a CRICOS registered higher education provider, BBS offers approved courses for international students studying in Australia on a student visa. Admission requirements vary depending on the course, prior qualifications, English language proficiency, and applicant background.
International applicants should review the entry requirements relevant to their intended course before submitting an application.

Meeting these minimum requirements does not guarantee admission. Entry into any course is based on a holistic assessment of an applicant’s academic background, English language proficiency, and (where relevant) work experience or prior study.

All international applicants must:
Applicants with recent secondary education (within the last two years)
BBS will accept international applicants that hold a formal qualification considered equivalent to an Australian Year 12.
Applicants with higher education study
BBS will consider international applicants who have successfully completed at least one year of a higher education course at an Australian higher education provider (at Australian Qualification Framework level 7) within the last 10 years or an equivalent qualification from another country. Credit may be granted where applicants have completed unit(s) at a similar level at an Australian higher education provider.
Applicants with VET study
BBS will consider international applicants who have successfully completed any Vocational Education and Training (VET) course within the last five years since leaving school. The VET course must be at least Certificate IV level or higher from an Australian Registered Training Organisation (or equivalent) or a higher education provider.
Applicants with work and life experience
BBS aims to maintain a clear and standardised admissions process that allows us to assess all international applicants fairly. Applications will be welcomed on the basis of qualifications achieved through recent secondary education, VET study, or study at a higher education institution. At present, BBS is unable to consider international applicants who do not have formal qualifications for entry, but who seek admission to courses on the basis of their educational and skills development through work and life experience and informal study.
English Language Requirement
All international applicants must obtain an overall score of 6.0 bands in IELTS Test (Academic) with no less than 5.5 bands in all four parts of IELTS test or equivalent.

Applicants with higher education study
BBS will consider international applicants who have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor’s degree (AQF Level 7) or an equivalent qualification from another country. Where applicable, all applications for Credit or RPL must be submitted in accordance with BBS’s Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy and Procedures.
Applicants who do not hold a Bachelor’s degree (AQF Level 7) or a recognised equivalent qualification can still be admitted if they have a Diploma (AQF 5) or equivalent, along with evidence of a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience at a managerial level. For the avoidance of doubt, applicants with qualifications below AQF Level 5 will not be admitted.
Applicants with work and life experience
BBS does not consider applications for admission based on work and life experience or informal study where formal higher education qualifications are not present. Entry is available only through the qualification pathways set out above.
To be eligible for entry to a course, international applicants must meet the following three criteria:
